Xinyi Hardware Store officially started business on Thursday in Yongxing Dao (also known as Yongxing Island) of Sansha city, South China’s Hainan Province, according to Sansha government on Friday.
The store, with an area of about 100 square meters, adopts an open layout with 12 shelves, divided into eight category areas, and thousands of commodities including tool accessories, electrical accessories, water pipes, door and window accessories, and tram accessories, are categorized according to type.
Eye-catching signboards are set up to help customers find what they’re looking for quickly. The store also has a help desk to assist shoppers.
Wang Hailong, deputy manager of the Sansha Tianqin Service Management Company, said that the store has been in preparation for nearly two months , and has solicited information for needed supplies from military and civilian personnel on each island.
Wang added that the store is now fully equipped with the items on display for purchase by the residents living on the islands.
