Hong Kong Airlines gave out 8,500 free round-trip tickets to seven destinations on Monday (Aug 21).
In complement to the Hello Hong Kong Campaign, the carrier gave away free tickets to and from Tokyo, Okinawa, Fukuoka, Taipei, Beijing, Shanghai, and Haikou on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event started at 10 am, with travel dates ranging from September 1 to March 24 next year and a two to seven-day stay limit.
The free tickets included 20 kilograms of baggage package, but the participants would have to handle any related taxes, surcharges, or other charges.
The Campaign is part of the Airport Authority’s program that will give away 80,000 free flights to Hongkongers and about 500,000 to tourists to boost the city’s post-pandemic economic revival.
