New measures to further promote consumer spending in the southern Chinese island province of Hainan through linking culture, sports, tourism, and exhibitions were recently passed by the provincial Department of Finance, the Department of Tourism and Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports, and the Department of Commerce. The 20 measures include support for major events such as concerts, music festivals, influential sporting events, inbound tourism, and other cultural, sports, and tourism activities and exhibitions.<\/p>\n
Up to\u00a03 million yuan for\u00a0holding major\u00a0concerts & music\u00a0festivals<\/strong><\/p>\n Subsidy amounts are calculated according to total ticket sales per performance. Each event can include no more than four subsidized performances.<\/p>\n Up to\u00a022 million yuan for\u00a0cruise ship voyages\u00a0to or from Hainan<\/strong><\/p>\n Subsidy amounts are calculated according to the number of cruise ship voyages, operating days, and number of inbound passengers. Subsidies will be disbursed quarterly.<\/p>\n Up to\u00a07 million yuan for\u00a0holding exhibitions\u00a0in Hainan<\/strong><\/p>\n From May – December 2024, Hainan will hold 98 exhibitions with 500 or more attendees, of which 30 exhibitions meeting the policy requirements will be eligible for subsidies.<\/p>\n Up to\u00a0500,000 yuan for\u00a0bringing international\u00a0travelers to Hainan<\/strong><\/p>\n The top three travel agencies bringing in the most regional travelers will be eligible for subsidies.<\/p>\n Up to\u00a0300,000 yuan for\u00a0bringing travelers to the\u00a0Hainan Coastal Scenic\u00a0Highway<\/strong><\/p>\n Companies bringing 20,000 or more travelers to the highway with over 30% of travelers coming from outside Hainan are eligible for subsidies.<\/p>\n Up to\u00a02 million yuan for\u00a0holding major\u00a0sports events<\/strong><\/p>\n Only one organization per event is eligible for subsidies. Apply after the event on the \u2018Hai Yi Dui\u2019 (\u6d77\u6613\u5151) platform.<\/p>\n Up to\u00a03 million yuan for\u00a0selling flights to\u00a0Hainan<\/p>\n Online travel platforms bringing over 1 million travelers to Hainan (according to flight ticket sales data) are eligible for subsidies.<\/p>\n Up to\u00a0300,000 yuan for\u00a0holding summer\u00a0camps in Hainan<\/p>\n Subsidies are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If subsidy applications exceed 5 million yuan in the current year, payment will be postponed to the following year.<\/p>\n \u8865\u8d34\u5b9e\u884c\u5148\u5230\u5148\u5f97\u7684\u539f\u5219\u3002\u5982\u679c\u5f53\u5e74\u7533\u8bf7\u7684\u8865\u8d34\u91d1\u989d\u8d85\u8fc7500\u4e07\u5143\uff0c\u5c06\u5ef6\u671f\u5230\u4e0b\u4e00\u5e74\u652f\u4ed8\u3002<\/p>\n Up to\u00a01.5 million yuan for\u00a0eligible dining &\u00a0retail businesses<\/p>\n There are two levels of subsidies available. The first is a subsidy of 100,000 for dining establishments with business income of over 2 million yuan and retail establishments with product sales of over 5 million yuan.
