This collaboration aims to introduce the W Hotels brand to Sanya, a renowned tourist destination on the southern island province of Hainan in China. Positioned in Sanya Bay, W Sanya is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2028. Characterized by its striking design, superior service, and dynamic, ever-present activities, the hotel is set to emerge as a new beacon of upscale hospitality in Sanya.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to be working with Hainan Qianrui Industrial Development Co., Ltd. to bring W Hotels to Sanya, Hainan, inviting guests to indulge in the modern charm of the tropical coastal city through a distinct lens of luxury,\u201d said\u00a0<strong>Gavin Yu, Chief Development Officer, Greater China, Marriott International.\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cWe look forward to continuing to expand our luxury portfolio in Greater China in line with our \u2018Brand + Destination\u2019 development strategy and align W Hotels with complementary destinations to cater to the ever-evolving luxury global traveler.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Situated on the southern shores of Hainan province, Sanya is often dubbed the \u201cHawaii of the East\u201d due to its tropical ambiance and stunning landscapes. The city\u2019s clear blue waters and dense coconut groves make Sanya Bay a prime choice for vacationers seeking a seaside escape while immersing themselves in the local culture and traditions. W Sanya, conveniently located just four kilometers from Sanya Phoenix International Airport, is close to famous sights such as Tianya Haijiao, Dadonghai Beach, and Phoenix Island, making it a highly attractive option for visitors.<\/p>\n<p>The design of W Sanya comes from the prestigious architectural firm WATG from Singapore, presenting an innovative 15-story structure with a vast and striking rooftop terrace. With its interiors crafted by the globally renowned Yabu Pushelberg, the hotel plans to offer 260 elegantly designed guest rooms and suites, more than half of which will afford guests with direct views of the sea. The property will feature an outdoor infinity pool that provides a breathtaking view of the cityscape, in addition to housing four distinct restaurants and bars for a taste of Sanya\u2019s varied food scenes.<\/p>\n<p>W Sanya is also set to include iconic amenities such as the WET\u00ae deck and pool, the FIT\u00ae fitness center, and the AWAY\u00ae Spa to offer guests refreshing and energizing experiences. With 1,533 square meters of versatile space for meetings and events, the hotel aims to cater to a wide array of event requirements.
