\u00a0<\/strong>Chinese automaker\u00a0Haima Motor Corporation (Haima) recently saw the first phase of its\u00a0second fuel cell electric vehicle\u00a0(FCEV)\u00a0pilot\u00a0project pass the evaluation\u00a0conducted\u00a0by the Hainai authorities, securing a reward of 12 million\u00a0yuan, according to a post on the company’s WeChat account.<\/p>\n

In March this year, Haima officially launched its FCEV\u00a0pilot\u00a0project in Hainan\u00a0province. The first batch of 25 FCEVs was deployed in Haikou\u00a0city\u00a0for ride-hailing services, covering key areas like\u00a0urban districts, airports, high-speed railway stations, ports, and Hainan coastal scenic\u00a0highways.<\/p>\n

During the first phase of pilot\u00a0operations, Haima’s\u00a0FCEVs were showcased\u00a0in major international events, including the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2024, the 4th China International Consumer Products Expo,\u00a0and the 2024 World New Energy Vehicle Congress. In June, the\u00a0cumunlative mileage of Haima’s\u00a0FCEV\u00a0fleet\u00a0exceeded\u00a06,500 kilometers\u00a0per vehicle,\u00a0reaching the first-phase targets set by the local authority\u00a0four months ahead of schedule.<\/p>\n

The recently evaluated second pilot\u00a0project focuses on vehicle rental scenario,\u00a0expanding operations to cities like\u00a0Danzhou, Wanning, and Qionghai. The 25 vehicles in this phase have already achieved an average distance exceeding 10,000 kilometers\u00a0per vehicle.\u00a0During the operation, these vehicles showcase various features\u00a0including net-zero emissions, high efficiency, and rapid refueling, displaying\u00a0potential for\u00a0environmental protection, energy savings, and intelligent mobility.<\/p>\n

Haima said it aims to further optimize the commercial operations of FCEVs, foster collaboration across the hydrogen energy industry chain, and contribute to the development of Hainan’s zero-carbon automotive ecosystem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
